Psychotherapeutic medicine

Holistic support for sustainable change

I combine systemic approaches with body-centered methods from Somatic Experiencing to specifically address relationship patterns, inner mindsets, and the physical processing of stress and trauma. My neurological expertise in the autonomic nervous system (ANS) is particularly advantageous, as its reregulation is a central aspect of these processes.

Still shot of Univ.-Prof. DDr. Homann, specialist in psychotherapeutic medicine in Graz, with a facing posture.

My therapeutic approach:

Psychotherapeutic Medicine: Systemic & Body-Oriented Approach – Dr. Homann, Graz

Advantages of the combination:

✔️ Holistic self-regulation instead of mere willpower

✔️ More flexibility in thinking, feeling and acting

✔️ Focus on the here and now, without burdening repetition of the past

My range of services in psychotherapeutic medicine

I offer individually tailored treatment concepts, with a focus on

- Trauma therapy: use of Somatic Experiencing (according to Peter Levine) to gently reprocess traumatic experiences.

- Spiritual crises:  Support for identity, trust and faith crises (e.g. as a result of abuse by spiritual authorities or breaking with or the withdrawal from faith communities).

- Other life crises: Support with professional, partnership, existential challenges and grief.

The aim is to recognise stress reactions, activate personal resources and promote individual ways of self-regulation.
