Neurological services

Neurological disorders can manifest themselves through a wide variety of symptoms. Even within the same disease, the symptoms can vary considerably depending on genetic predisposition, individual predisposition, and environmental factors. While some symptoms may be harmless and insignificant, there are others that should definitely be taken seriously and further investigated. Below, I would like to introduce you to some of these symptoms that warrant closer examination.

When a neurological examination may be useful:

Unclear, very severe, or therapy-resistant pain conditions

Head, face or back pain, nerve pain

Uncertainties when standing and walking

- Gait disturbances or unexplained falls

- Dizziness and balance problems

Impaired sense of touch

Sensory disturbances such as numbness or tingling

Cognitive and mental changes

- Forgetfulness, memory problems, personality changes

- Speech disorders

Problems with the muscles

- Paralysis, muscle weakness, atrophy or pain

- Limitations of fine motor skills

- Involuntary movements (e.g. trembling or jerking of individual body parts)

Other neurological symptoms

- Visual disturbances, double vision

- Disturbances of consciousness, unexplained collapse or repeated falls
